BREAKING : ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNOR SHUTS DOWN FEDERAL, ALL PRIVATE MEDIA HOUSES IN THE STATE



Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has shutdown all federal and private media Houses in the state for covering PDP’s political rally.


This is contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner of information Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara.


The statement also directed the state commissioner of Police to arrest all pressmen that attended the event organized by the PDP governorship candidate Dr Dauda Lawal Dare.


The order affects Radio Nigeria Pride FM Gusau, NTA Gusau, Gamji Television, Vision FM, Al'Umma TV amongst others.

Indian con-man Poddar in a multi million dollars fraud, defrauds a Nigerian, staff and others in India and US

A certain Indian based con-man, Tarun Poddar, who was alleged to have committed fraud against various Individuals all over America to the tune of over $32 billion has done his stock in trade to a Nigerian politician and financial expert based in US, Dr. Dennis Aikoriogie. Massive Floodiing ravages Kogi, Delta, Benue, Adamawa, Taraba, Anambra, and Nasarawa state.

The construction of the Lagdo Dam located in Northern Cameroon started in 1977 and was completed in 1982. Due to the release of water from the Lagdo Dam in Cameroon, many Nigerian communities along the courses of River Niger and River Benue have been affected by floods. The flooding which has claimed many lives and properties  has also ravaged communities in Delta, Benue, Adamawa, Taraba, Anambra, and Nasarawa state. In September, the National Emergency Management Agency and the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NHISA) informed Nigerians that “the Lagdo Dam operators in the Republic of Cameroon, had commenced the release of excess water from the reservoir on September 13, 2022”. The agencies said they were “aware that the released water cascades down into Nigeria, through River Benue and its tributaries, thereby overwhelming communities that have already been impacted by heavy rainfall”.
