Atiku’s Candidacy: big insult on the Nigerian Criminal Justice System.

One of the indicators of a healthy nation is the effectiveness of the criminal justice system wrapped around it. Citizens must feel safe within it and respect for fundamental human rights must be guaranteed. Sanctity must reign supreme in the law courts and good leadership must be the order of the day.

Nigeria is at the junction she's at today because her criminal justice system is in terrible shape now, though it will be fixed soon by Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Nigerian citizens no longer believe in it, and the hope for justice is not more than a pipe dream. Nigeria is in disarray today because her criminal justice system has failed.

Our dear nation will soon descend into anarchy if we fail to find a lasting cure for cancer that has eaten deep into the fabric of our criminal justice system. We all have a civic duty to our motherland to join the campaign to fix our country, and part of the duty includes ensuring that the country gets to be governed by good men with excellent character traits. Ladies and gentlemen, two people out of the four main contenders that are running to become the president of Nigeria in 2023 are ‘2 Sure’ train tickets that will take Nigeria straight into a state of anarchy. One of those men is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a known fraudster with a history of thievery and money laundering alongside a penchant for selling off critical national assets for prices that are ridiculously under their actual market value.

That Atiku is confidently running to become the president of Nigeria in 2023 is a dirty testament to the fact that the administration of criminal justice is crippled in Nigeria. Atiku’s integrity garment is dirty and reeks of the stench of corruption. From his shady activities in his early days as a customs officer when he ‘illegally’ registered Nigeria Container Services (NICOTES) now known as INTELS while serving at Apapa, to his alleged role in the infamous Halliburton bribery scandal and controversial sales of critical national assets, alongside laundering of over $40 million of money stolen from the Nigerian government to the United States. Such kind of man must not become the president of Nigeria.

Apex among Atiku Abubakar’s corruption cases is the underhanded sale of the Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON). The company was worth $3.5 billion at the point of sale but Atiku decided to sell it for a paltry $120 million! Nigerians should start asking Atiku why he sold a national asset that was generating $324 million in exports annually and providing jobs and means of livelihood to more than 25,000 Nigerians through direct and indirect business engagements. It is also important to realize that the city that housed ALSCON is a ghost town today because ALSCON was a massive Nigerian success story so much so that all bolstering signs of life around the company’s environment died when the company died. The man responsible for such agony should be serving his punishment in prison, not running to become president.

Only leaders with proven records of responsible leadership should be allowed to come close to the corridors of government and men like Atiku should be kept out by all means possible. Nigerians should reject Atiku Abubakar and begin to call for his speedy trial. He and several others like him that have built their wealthy empire on the tears, blood, and sweat of innocent Nigerians must be made to face the wrath of the law to restore sanctity to the administration of criminal justice in the country.

Nigerians, as we move into next year's general election, we must be resolute and determined to cast our votes for only the candidate with the most outstanding public resume and proven track record in public administration. Only one man fits the bill among the others. His name is Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He is the only man that has reiterated and proven that he and his party NNPP are all about the care for human life and happiness, not their exploitation and extinction. He did it for Kano and he wants to do it for Nigeria. Vote for him.

Remember, Nigeria will become a ghost town like Ikot Abasi the home of ALSCON, if we erroneously allow Atiku to continue bribing and stealing his way into Aso Rock in 2023. Reject the PDP and embrace the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP for a new and reborn Nigeria.

Vote for Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the next president of Nigeria in 2023. Vote for the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP!
